To Kirby or not to Kirby...

that is the question of the day. I got duped into letting the Kirby people "clean any two rooms" in our house. I thought I had asked all the right questions on the phone to make sure they weren't going to put on a big presentation and try to sell us anything. But I'll tell you what, I'm singing a different tune post-demo. That Kirby doesn't mess around. We didn't buy one, cuz we cant afford to, but I'm going to start a Kirby savings fund. Does anyone have any experience with the Kirby clean machine? Either for or against?

J and Clifton bought one to use to clean people's floors. I think it's crazy to spend 1000.00 on a vaccum but I spent that much on my hobby, (my camera) soooo....
That's my 2 cents

have you seen the rainbow vacuum? we had one of those in-home presentations. i was totally sold. but i wasn't about to spend thousands of dollars on a vacuum. that is what crazy people do.

My thought is if you are going to have carpet which is so yucky and scary when you know what is living in there, spend the money for a good vacuum. We are all wired up for central vacuum but are saving to actually buy the good central vacuum. We had a Kirby growing up. It was heavy as sin but a great vacuum.

The demo was sickening to me. They poured salt on our carpet and then went over it 20 times with our Dyson. Then they went over it with the Kirby and there was at least another 1/2 teaspoon of salt still in the carpet! And they used the attachment to do one of our couch pillows and all this grey powder came off it! I just think I dont want my babies crawling around on all that human skin and insect leftover...

JILL GO WITH DYSON. they are the cat's meow, no joke. They have unrivaled suction AND filtering. and you won't have to set up a payment plan for a dang vacuum cleaner!

oops. I just read that you already have a dyson. my bad.

we bought the entire package with the shampooer and everything. we did clean peoples floors and houses because of all the attatchments that came with it! what sold us is when he vaccumed our bed and then showed us what he picked up. about a half an inch worth of dust and stuff...we now vaccume our bed every six months. but because we cleaned peoples houses, the kirby paid for itself in about 3 months. we love it. the only bad thing about it is the maintinece...like the belts and the bags and the shampoo. but other than that, it's a great machine.

life does not revolve around vacuums. wait until you're old and rich for such a purchase.
