Kitty Cat Kisses

Cohen may have just topped his all time cutest moment. I was putting him down for the night so he had his head on my shoulder... Out of nowhere, he started licking my neck like little kitty cat. I couldn't help giggling! It was so funny! So then he knew he was being cute and he started blowing and sucking the same spot on my neck. What a funny kid we've got!

We went to Flagstaff last night for "cabin fun" with Poulsens and Faerbers. (These same 3 couples went to Courtney's cabin several years ago when Poulsen's were newlyweds, we were engaged, and Faerbers were still just checking each other out. It's funny to look back at that cuz on this trip we all had our babies with us.) Cohen rode his first quad and seemed to enjoy it until his face froze. There was hardly any snow left on the ground from last weeks storm but it was windy and cold. We got a few snow flurries as we drove out of town today. I'm so grateful for the getaway.

And lastly, some sad news. If you all promise not to report me; Cohen got burned by the lawnmower on Saturday. I was sitting right there with him but I assumed it wouldn't be hot anymore. There are fairly big, scabby blisters on the middle and ring fingers of his left hand. Not only has it got to hurt but I cant help thinking about him as this fresh little pallet, free from any marks or scars... Someday his wife will ask him where he got those scars on his fingers and he'll say, "My mom let me touch a hot lawnmower engine when I was a baby." And then she'll think I was a bad mom and she wont let me babysit my grandchildren. It could happen. :(

Sounds like a fun time. Don't worry about the lawn mower. Jeff and I have always said it will be great when our kids survive what we as parents accidently do to them or let them do to themselves. Don't beat yourself up too much.

You're hilarious about the whole burn thing. I totally would start to think of the long term effects like you do. why are we always so paranoid about everything? anyway, i love the kitty cat thing! how much longer was he up after that? also i was wondering if this Saturday evening you wanted to join our old Park Center group (& some others) for our bunko night. we need one more person & would love it if you could come. let me know if it works for you. We start @ 6:30 and go till everyone is too tired to think straight. sometimes even longer then that. it is at my place so let me know.
