The Grandest of Canyons

There are too many good pictures of great memories to narrow it down any further than this!
Here's the gang, hiking down the switchbacks on Tuesday morning. There were 35 of us from age 10 to age 59.

The hike is 10 miles each way. Here we are with about 2 miles left.

Our first glimpse of the falls! Only minutes until we can take off our packs and shoes!

Too many giggles to sleep!

I've always been told that Navajo Falls are boring but we spent most of one day there. It's beautiful and you can jump from several places right in the falls.

This jump was about 15 feet high but we also jumped off the higher fall which was maybe 60 feet.

More Navajo Falls.

My cousins are my favorite part of this picture!

At the top of Mooney Falls on Wednesday.

The rope swing which is a 20 minute hike from Mooney Falls.

Brad attempted a back flip but lost his strategy and ended up hanging on too long! He had to swing all the way back to the rock, push off again and then fall into the water. Very graceful!

Just after the hike out. The switchbacks were killer on the way up.

Operation complete!

Hey Jill,

Rod and I were originally planning to do this for our anniversary this year (we only have 5 days off) but didn't know if it'd be worth it:
$200+ dollars of entrance/camping fees,
2 full days of travel to get there and back, gas $ to get down there...
Tell me, should we still do it? Even if we're only there for 3 days and two nights?

I'd like your honest opinion, THANKS!
