Worth 162 calories each

I cannot claim this recipe. I found it on allrecipes.com but have adopted it as a new all time favorite. I have never made a more attractive and delicious cookie. Try it to see what I mean.

4.5 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups butter
1.5 cups packed brown sugar
.5 cups white sugar
2 (3.4 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
optional chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350. Sift flour and baking soda, set aside. Cream together butter and sugars. Beat in pudding mix. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes, careful not to overbake. Makes more than 60 perfect cookies.

is that 1/2 cup of white sugar or 5 cups?

it's half a cup of white sugar. i thought it was easier to do the halves in decimals but it actually looks confusing now that I look at it!
