Great numbers profess belief in him and his works, and yet relatively few honor him. Millions of us call ourselves Christians, yet seldom kneel in gratitude for his supreme gift, his life.
Let us rededicate ourselves to reverential attitudes, toward an expression of gratitude to our Lord for his incomparable sacrifice. Let us remember the modern command, “Wherefore, let all men beware how they take my name in their lips.” (Doctrine and Covenants 63:61)
Speaking the Lord's name with reverence must simply be part of our lives.
These words are part of my lesson on reverence for church today. How true it is.

we had the same lesson. our stake has been concentrating on reverence for a few months now. i really do feel like it is a way to show gratitude for what we have and what we know.
I taught that lesson in RS today, and it was a good one for me, I think I needed it!! I love teaching RS, I think it's such a fun calling, I learn so much.
reverence...from the root "revere." ...more than just quietly sitting, it's thinking of father above...reverence is love.
