Long time, no post

Lame, I know! We've been a little busy, my videos aren't uploading, and I just haven't felt like blogging I guess. Brad is out of town again until Saturday so I'm going to my mom's until then. I dont have the ghusto to be a single mom. Bless all of you who do it!

We did enjoy a wonderful Family Night at my Aunt Alayne's this week. Her family is talking about the 9 things necessary for successful marriages and families, per The Family: A Proclaimation to the World. This weeks lesson was on respect. (She opened by having us sing kareoke to Aretha Franklin!) Aunt Alayne was good to relate the lesson to each of us, personally. Respect with siblings, parents, spouses, children, mission companions, roommates, etc. Whatever your life situation is, there is need for respect for those in your life. I love some of the definitions she gave us.

  • courteous regard for people's feelings
  • honor, esteem
  • recognizing anther's worth/ value/ potential

Even the stupid Urban Dictionary defines it well.

  • It means valuing each others points of views. It means being open to being wrong. It means accepting people as they are. It means not dumping on someone because you're having a bad day. It means being polite and kind always, because being kind to people is not negotiable. It means not dissing people because they're different than you. It means not gossiping about people or spreading lies.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T... find out what it means to YOU!
