My sister in law and I took the kids to Thatcher to visit my mom and grandparents this week. While there, Cohen and I slept in the same room; he in a crib and me on a twin bed. About 3 am I heard him whispering, "Mommy.... Mommy....." and then a little more desperately, "Mommy..... Mommy...." He was soaked from chest to knees with the fullest diaper I've ever seen. As I took him out of the crib he whispered, "Sorry Mommy".
Melted my heart.
He said it again as I changed him into dry clothes, "Sorry Mommy". I snuggled him for a minute in that twin bed but quickly knew that wasn't condusive to sleeping so I pulled out the trundle for me and he slept on the twin alone. I couldn't believe how quickly he went back to sleep and even slept in an hour later than usual!
He also says, "Bless you, Mommy" when I sneeze.
And if offered food, he says "No, danchoo".
(He's not eating much food right now as he has put himself on a mostly liquid and candy diet.)

A-dorable! That is so very sweet!
Oh that is so sweet!! I can't wait for Finn to actually talk—especially nice, darling words like that. Right now he just screams at me and bangs on things. :)
good job Cohen! Keep it up
Ah, the joys of a toddler. Trey says "Tank you, mama" after I do anything for him like give him a drink or wipe his bottom or help him on the potty. It's truly sweet. As for the liquid diet, we are there as well. I have to change his sheets every morning. Have a fun trip.
How cute!! I love hearing those words from my little guys mouth. I just wish I'd hear them after he does the horrible things instead of just after little things he doesn't really need to be sorry about.
I kid you not, I got a little verklempt when you told how he said "Sorry Mommy". So dang precious. And what two year old says "Bless You"? You have such a sweet boy!
Sorry I missed you while you were down. I did not read my blog until it was too late. Hope you had fun. How is your Grandma? She is in my thoughts and prayers. Your son is too cute! How preggy are you now? Miss ya.
