I've decided to host a monthly "Grief Group", for lack of a better name. I've been trying to figure out how to use my master's degree without leaving my kids and this is what came to me. I know several women who have lost children recently. (Recently is a relative term in this case. It means 6 months ago but it also means 4 years ago.) Some children died without being born, others lived a few precious minutes, still others were allowed a few years on Earth before being called home. The common denominator is that there are grieving mothers left behind. I think there's a need for these moms to connect to each other. I think that they know how to speak to each other, what words to use and not use. I've heard them say that they want to talk about their experience, about their child, but dont because they dont think other people want to hear it. So they suffer silently, alone. I simply want to facilitate a forum where mothers can come to talk about their lost angels... and to feel heard and understood. We welcome the happy, the sad, the healed, the broken, the insightful, and the angry. Haven't lost a child but still want to come? Please do. You're welcome. And please invite anyone you know who may be interested. Details will come. I'm thinking of maybe the 3rd Thursday of each month. We'll see how that fits for everyone.
3 takers so far...

Hey Jill, I do know someone who is facing something similar, she's pregnant but I'm somewhat afraid to ask her if she would like to come...Any suggestions? You may know her..Here's my email address meesa_gordon@hotmail.com. I also have a few more questions for you, if you don't mind.
it's such a great idea for such a miserable time. every mom's story is different and i know i've been afraid to bring things up with another mother who has lost a child/children because i worry their story is more devestating than mine. thanks for being so willing to help.
Yes. Speaking of Angels--thank you Jill.
I wish I was there! There is a blog that is private and for grieving mothers only. the woman who started it has another blog, it is adailyscoop.blogspot.com if any of the ladies you meet with would like even more then refer them to her and she will add them to the blog. it is a good place to just say what needs to be said sometime, although the face to face would be so wonderful! anyways, i know many will thank you for doing this, let me be the first(or second)....THANK YOU!
That is so nice of you Jill. What a great way to help others!
What a great idea! I hope you had a great Christmas!
Wow. Good for you. Keep us posted on how it goes...
