The early bird gets the worm...

or in our case, nice weather. We get most of our playing done before 9 am. That's because all the people at our house like to be awake before 6. We walk over to the dog park to throw rocks in the storm drains and run down the hill. Then we drive over to Gilbert Rd and Hackamore St to watch the construction tractors. When we've had our fill, we go to the park to build sand castles in the little dirt area that the sprinklers spray every morning. And of course, we swing and slide too. Mind you, it's only about 8:30 am at this point! That's why we're usually still in our PJs.

We're SO glad to say goodbye to the heat! How (and WHEN) do you start your day?

Look at Jacers face. He loves it. So cute. What a fun mom. I have to say we don't start our day until 8am. Sometimes, on occasions my kids wake me up around 7ish but as I type this at 7:47am, both boys are still fast asleep. We can't wait for the heat to leave either.

That sounds like fun- we start at 6too, waking everyone up, quick scripture & prayer and then the "family walk" (with usually much complaining) then clean rooms, get ready for school eat and go.

Sounds like us. My kids are all up by 6am. Sometimes I look at the clock and think, 'Wow, it's only 8:30!' Someday they'll grow out of it, we hope!

I start my day by rolling out of bed around 9ish to the smell of Liz cooking breakfast. After I eat, I sprawl out on our couch and flip on the TV while she cleans up, does the dishes and takes care of the kids. I completely zone out for an hour or two at least... just flipping through channels like a zombie. After a while, the little one goes down for a nap, and I turn the channel to our 'electronic babysitter' for the older one. The misses and I retire for a little alone time (hubba hubba, if you know what I mean).
