"Crazy love"?

A single friend posed this question to me recently:
I have been dating somebody for 7 months and she is great. I just don't feel
like I think I should to marry somebody. She is great and if I let her go then
I miss out on a lot. She is great physically/spiritually/socially/family
oriented/etc. So a question for you - do you need the crazy love to marry or
does that not matter after a couple of months and you just need to be good
friends with respect for each other?
So I pose the question to any of you willing to respond. How do you know it's good enough to be eternal?

Pray about it.

How about you don't over analyze it? There is something inside you that says you can't LIVE without this person... not because you'll be "missing out..." but because this person completes you and the lack of their pressence near/by/close to you makes you go crazy.

Give it time. The longer you are with someone, the more (or less) certain you will become.

IF YOU READ EVEYTHING OVER AGAIN YOU CAN READ INBETWEEN THE LINES AND YOU HEAR I WANT EVERYTHING THIS WONDERFUL PERSON HAS AND FIND A PERSON WHO HAS PROBLEMS WITH COMITTMENTS. YOU HAVE BEEN SINGLE TO LONG AND NOW YOUR NOT SURE YOU WANT TO SHARE WHAT YOU HAVE OR YOU LIKE SINGLE LIFE HAS TO OFFER,NO ONE TO TELL YOU WHAT TO DO,NO ONE TO PLAN YOU LIFE, NO ONE TO MESS UP THE WAY YOU LIVE.
IF YOU HAVE TO ASK YOUR SELF ALL THESE QUESTIONS DO YOURSELF AND THIS WONDERFUL GIRL A BIG FAVOR AND LEAVE HER TO SOMEONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL PERSON TO BE HIS ETURNAL MATE. SHE WANTS LOVE WITH OUT ALL THE QUESTIONS.
LOVE MEANS COMITMENT,TO ONE PERSON.
BEING SINGLE SUCKS.
HAVING A SPECIAL WONDERFUL WOMAN THAT YOU DISCRIBED SOUNDS LIKE SHE COULD DO BETTER ANYWAY!

I'm not sure who our anonymous 2 am blogger is but I have to throw in 2 cent rebutal. The friend who originally posed this question to me is certainly not alone is his quandry. He's not a bad guy nor do I suspect him to be afraid of committment. It is my opinion that until we meet our match and experience the "you know when you know", then we have doubts. Doubts are good if they prevent us from making the wrong decision. I personally dont buy into the concept that any two worthy LDS people can marry and be happy. I want more than just happy. I want, and got, fairytale love and I think its ok to wait until you feel the lightning bolt of love and are able to decide on marriage without any questioning at all. Everyone deserves that kind of love!

2 AM BLOGGER/ P.S.

I AGREE WITH WHAT YOU WROTE AND I WASN'T TRYING TO KNOCK THIS YOUNG MAN DOWN BUT TO MANY GREAT RELATIONSHIPS DIE BECAUSE OF "THE WHAT IF" AND NOT LETTING THE SPIRIT LEAD. LIFE IS GREAT,IT GETS GREATER WHEN YOU FIND THAT SOMEONE TO SHARE LIFE WITH AND TO START A FAMILY. I HOPE THAT THIS YOUNG MAN GETS PAST THE " WHAT IF" AND FINDS THAT THE WONDERFUL PERSON THAT HE HAS IS HIS AND TOGETHER THEY CAN SURPASS THE "WHAT IF" AND TOGETHER HAND IN HAND ANSWER AND OVER COME ALL THE QUESTIONS AND FIND THE WONDERFUL MEANING IN BEING TOGETHER. HOPE I DIDNT UPSET ANY ONE. I KNEW A YOUNG MAN LIKE THIS YOUNG MAN AND HE AND I TALKED AND NOW HE HAS 3 TO 4 KIDS AND A WONDERFUL WIFE AND WONDERFUL LIFE. HE WAS FULL OF "WHAT IF" AND NOW HE KNOWS THE REST OF THE STORY.
