Last Friday night was the good time I've been craving for months. I cant even remember the last time I had a good belly laugh... the kind where you cant open your eyes and your cheek muscles hurt. Oh man, it was good stuff. Kate and Jay hosted the Shirtgirls Annual Christmas Extravaganza. The Shirtgirls name started back in our single days when we felt like the one-liners of our lives were t-shirt worthy. We all went to Lehi 4th Singles Ward together and, for the most part, got married the same year. Jodi & AK are still rocking the singles scene but the adventures at Old School Institute stir up classic memories in all of us! Anyway, it was the best White Elephant gift exchange I've been to in a while. Jaime got this leather dress that fit like a glove! JoJo will never want for a beverage again and I have Mormon movies to re-gift! We had to share our most embarrasing/ gross public moment. I had forgotten some of mine so I'm "lucky" to have good friends to remind me! I'm gross, man. It's true. I had forgotten! And the one-liners were as good as ever:
- "You're my 2nd Choice"
- "I'm not really anti-porn. I'm more... neutral."
- "Is it labtop or laptop?"
On a serious note, I love these people. We were friends back in the single days but I'd call most of us casual friends. We all liked to dance, we were all trying to put ourselves out there and make it happen, but I didn't appreciate everyone the way I do now. It's enjoyable to know each other 2-3 years later as married folks, parents, "grown-ups", if you will. Good times. Good times.
