I can be a Fly Lady

Does everyone know about FlyLady.net? It's this handy website that promotes organization in the home. I think I'm basically on top of things and yet I have so much to improve on.

Exhibit A: Bedtime Routine.
Instead of watching a lame TV show or filling online shopping carts with things I'm never going to actually buy, I'd be so much happier if I spent my evening:
  • Picking up the house for 20 minutes so I dont wake up to a mess. (This includes starting the dishwasher and putting away all the clutter and toys)
  • Planning for tomorrow. (Checking the calendar to make sure I dont miss appointments, start a To-Do list for the next day, decide what to make for breakfast so we dont eat cereal AGAIN)
  • Focus on me (I often neglect to wash my face cuz I'm too tired... It's so idiotic cuz I break out every time! So I need to retire to my room at a decent hour, religiously wash my face, brush my teeth, take vitamins, write in my journal, read for fun, listen to music, stretch, play Boggle in bed with Brad, pray, meditate, etc)

Doesn't that sound DREAMY compared to computer or TV time?!

I've tried flylady before, it's great & actually fun cuz you're seeing results. I think I need to get back to her routines again.

Sounds like some good resolutions!

Maybe you should be heading up howtoestablish.com (see jamie's blog). JK, i need to do that washing face bit too. Let's face it checking blogs is fun, but it isn't going to slow down the much dreaded aging process. right?

I love flylady! I must admit that it has taken me 4 years of baby steps to really be on a schedule. Awesome that you are already full speed ahead!

Amen sista. I have been on a journal writing kick for the last month and a half, and it forces me to "retire" to my bedroom earlier so that I can get it done without falling asleep and I can't tell you what a difference it's made! I'm loving it . . . hopefully the kick lasts.

Ahh, my one year as a fly lady was the best year ever! My house was clean, and I wasn't stressed out and worn out all the time.

I signed up for FlyLady once but got stressed out by all the e-mails and never really got rolling- I spend too many late nights on the couch with my laptop reading blogs, and watching TV- going to bed at a decent hour after reading, journal writing etc does sound better...
