For the love of the game

We were all in Thatcher this weekend celebrating my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. My family loves to play Five Base, which is like softball-meets-dodge ball. I was running to a base and trying to avoid the ball being thrown at me, so I decided to slide. My feet didn't cooperate. They just stopped while my head kept going. I hit the wall with my nose and forehead and then skidded all the way down. I have rug burns on my wrists, forearm, and knee. My nose didn't hurt very bad until Cohen head butted me at church the next morning.
And by the way, I was safe!

Don't you love that toddlers have figured out how to head-butt??? Mine thinks that's a great trick too!

Oh my gosh—ouch! At least your nails look very pretty and what straight white teeth you have. :) But oh your poor little nose...that one hurts the worst to look at.

Honestly, who slides on carpet? You hit the wall too? Sheesh!
Also, you have really nice teeth. Sorry to be a teeth geek, and no, I'm not being facetious or anything, I really think they are good looking.

The first thing I thought was "Isn't it fun to have your body back and do those type of things?!"

The floor wasn't carptet, it's the wood gym floor. So lots of people were sliding on it... they just actually slid instead of sticking and face-planting!

And as for my teeth, my dental-school-brother will appreciate that while cosmetically straight, I totally need braces again because my bite is SO off. I never wore my retainers so I bet I need to have my pallet re-broken and shaped again. Not that I'll actually do it but I do NEED it.

That is hilarious. I love that you're smiling so much in those pictures even though you're all scraped up.

Jill, you don't have to make up elaborate stories to cover up for what Brad did to you. I know a few places you can go.

Ouch! Brad is definitely a rough dude. :)
