Hello Newman!

Brad's very generous brother Scott bought us tickets to see Jerry Seinfield Friday night at the Dodge Theater. It was as fun as you can imagine! The guy that opened was almost as funny as Jerry. (I can call him by his first name now that I've seen him in person. We're tight like that.)

The first guy talked about how funny it is that as soon as he and his wife get into bed, her legs are suddenly broken! She says, "Are all the lights off? Did you lock the doors? Is the air turned down?" And so off he goes to check all of those things, AGAIN. He said that one night his wife said to him, "I think I hear someone outside." And he said, "That's exactly where they should be, outside! We're in here, they should be out there!" But she insisted that he go check. She hands him a sweater, walks him to the door and locks the deadbolt behind him after he's out. So whoever is outside might have an ax or a gun but at least he's got a turtle neck!

The humor was all so funny because it's stuff we can totally relate to. Jerry is married and has three young kids so lots of his stuff is family humor. He said that dads are like day old helium balloons that just kind of float around the house, somewhere between the floor and the ceiling, not really noticed by anyone. He also said that Father's Day is just the day to show your dad how very little you know about him by giving him a gift he neither wants or needs. Isn't that so true?!

It was fabulous to get out and I'm grateful my mom was here to babysit. She loves to hold my baby-that-loves-to-be-held, so it's a great match!

I can watch Seinfeld re-runs over and over- that sounds like so much fun to see him in person!

Tanner and I really wanted to go to that but didn't want to spend that much money on the tickets. Super great that someone gave you the tickets!
