I love that Brad of mine.

Brad and I were asked to speak in church on Sunday. He spoke about developing charity. One of the things he said was, "Being angry at someone is like drinking poison and expecting them to die." Why spend any of our energy being mad at someone? Only we suffer from harboring resentment. Brad says that when we are spending our energy being angry or offended, we are not free to be charitable. It was very eye-opening and refreshing to me. When we choose not to be offended and not to dwell on "why me?", we are free to move forward, to love, to forgive and to progress. Our hearts and souls are free to deal with future disappointments instead of having those just add to what we are already festering about. We are able to roll with the punches and help others to do the same.

He's really good at it. I've never heard him put it into words like this but truly this is one of Brad's greatest qualities.
