My untagged tag

5 things on my wish-list of things i wish i had time to do today:
1. Exercise like I did before I had kids. This means an hour or more of sweat dripping down my elbows and not wanting anything but cold water for an hour afterward. Those were the good days.
2. Sleep. Not nap, but sleep. Sleep for hours. Sleep until I drool a puddle the size of a small bird on my pillow. Sleep so long and hard that I wake up disoriented and dont know if the 3:15 on the clock is am or pm.
3. Plant something in the empty place in our front yard. We have beautiful grass and the best tree in the world, but we ripped out our hedges (cuz they were mismatched and ugly) and now just have a big dirt patch bordered by brick. It's just thirsting for something lovely to be planted in it.
4. Go somewhere alone with Brad and pretend that we're on our 3rd date. Remember the 3rd date? It's the one where you've spent enough time together to have easy conversation yet still be flirty, trying to appear all interesting and desirable. You hold hands and feel the electricity surge around your body... Are you with me on this?
5. Shower. Why is that too much to ask?

What a great list! I'm totally with you on the exercise one.

I love that list. I want all of those too. Funny how having a new baby makes you appreciate all the things you used to be able to do. I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one not sleeping and looking forward to a little more freedom. But the babies are so darn cute, so they're worth it....One of mine is crying right now actually, gotta go see what's happening.

You forgot one:

If you please Santa, may I one day go back to having perky, full boobs instead of ones that droop to my knees like empty water balloons, without having plastic or water injected into me?

Somethings we may have to learn to live without for 1 to 18 years.

Others, well, we'll NEVER ENJOY AGAIN--that's all I can say.

That is a great wish list. I am so with you on the 3rd date thing. And you might have inspired me to work out. Although the chocolate cake in the fridge is competing with you...

Jill, I just saw the pictures of your sweet new little boy and he is so adorable!!! It was fun to catch up on your life the past month. Your list was a good reminder of those good old days!! Oh for sleep, unfortunately you will get to experience that again when you hit menopause!! haha Something to really look forward to now, huh!!

Sadly, the showers go to the back of the list. Help! We missed you at the playdate. I hope you're doing well. Maybe I'll see you at the next one. :)

The funny thing is I pretty much dream of 1, 2, 3 (we have a dirt patch on our east side that needs rehabbing quick), 4 & 5.

We made our date happen on Friday. Brad's mom kept the boys while we went to dinner at CPK. We were only gone 90 minutes but we were totally cheesy and talked like we were on our 3rd date! No kid talk. No house talk. Just people-getting-to-know-each-other talk. It was very rejuvinating! I totally dig my husband. :) And I dug my kids a little more when we got back home!

i feel your pain Jill, now that by boys are older (5 & 21mo) they watch me exercise in the morning, sometimes I have to get at them because they'll get into my weights, or try to get on my step, or when I'm doing sit ups they get on my belly...thats a workout in itself. Hang in there your routine will come back..slowly but surely.

I laughed hysterically but semi-crying at the same time...you know those laughs. Jill we all feel the pain yet somehow I feel yours is +1 on me!! Ben and I reminesce about the days when we used to sleep in till 12:00 or later! I call it sleeping in if I get to 8:00am! One day, but then we'll be complaining about all of our babies being grown-up!

I love you Jill. My list would have been so boring and yours makes me smile!
