That's us. We're legit.
Legit food store-ers, that is.
I've had cans of beans and dehydrated apples under my bed for a while now...
and I've been grinding my own wheat and what not...
but as of today we own things like shelf-stable milk, dehydrated eggs and two 55 gallon water barrels.
Legit, right?
Or at least on our way to legit.
I've been trying out some food storage recipes too.
Here's my favorite:
Bean Soup
1 can black beans
1 can Great Northern beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can tomatoes
1 can corn
3/4 cups salsa
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 Tbls taco seasoning
Dump all of it in a pot and simmer for 30 minutes. Easy peasy.

great job on the stuff, where do you get those barrels for water? cara
Way to go!! Where did you get the shelf eggs and milk and stuff??
Great for you. Not so great for us now that we have to move all our food storage cross-country. We have to empty our water barrels before we move them. I guess I will thouroghly water the lawn today.
We just became legit too without water barrels and powdered eggs. Have you tried the oatmeal pancakes food storage recipe? Delicious!
areyougettingprepared.blogspot.com (I think) has shelf stable milk and dehydrated eggs and what not.
